It was an incredible experience for Harding Christian Academy to attend the annual National Conference for the New Testament Churches of Christ (NTCC) in Mbale from August 1st to 4th, 2024. The conference, held under the thoughtfully chosen theme “Shepherding like Christ,” provided a profound opportunity for our school community to engage with parents and other stakeholders, showcasing our commitment to raising Christian leaders and job creators.

Leaders at the National Conference of Churches of Christ engage in a dynamic discussion group, led by Brother Ojiambo Duncan , from August 1st to 4th, 2024, at Mbale Church of Christ.

As a foundational institution dedicated to nurturing leaders within the Churches of Christ, Harding Christian Academy prides itself on grooming church leaders, entrepreneurs, lawyers, and more. Our emphasis is on teaching the correct doctrine of the Churches of Christ, instilling discipline, integrity, and accountability in our students, and providing quality education.

The conference allowed us to present our vision, mission, and core values to parents and other stakeholders. They had the opportunity to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of our school’s commitment to excellence. The theme of “Shepherding Like Christ” echoed deeply with us, particularly during the third lesson delivered by Brother Ogutu Geoffrey from the Jinja Team.

Christ-Like Shepherding (John 10:1-8) Lesson 3: Christ-like shepherds lead by example (John 10:4) NKJV: “And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.”

In this passage, Jesus describes Himself as the Good Shepherd, leading and caring for His flock. His followers recognize His voice and follow Him because He guides and protects them.

Testimonials from Harding Christian Academy Representatives:

Lubwama Musa, Spiritual Leader at Harding Christian Academy: “As a spiritual leader and member of the Church of Christ, we need to train our doctrine so that students get rooted in the faith. We have been trained as good shepherds, and once I return, I will focus on leading students to Jesus, not my own interests.”

Waibi Olivia Bursar, HCA Bursar: “Building good relationships with members of the Church of Christ, our parents, and new parents is crucial. I am glad we met them, and they are glad to know us better. We maintain close connections with our parents, and our students’ visibility speaks for itself.”

Kalembe Hellen, Teacher and Public Relations Officer: “Attending the national conference provided me with a broad platform to discuss our school’s achievements. As conference leaders, we aimed to disseminate information about the school. We brought banners, tables, and business cards to connect with parents. We want them to know that we raise God-fearing students who respect Christian norms.”

Harding Christian Academy remains committed to our mission of nurturing leaders grounded in faith and integrity. The National Conference was a significant step in reinforcing our values and vision within the broader community.
